What to do in ATL this Fall
Fall in Atlanta is one of the BEST times of year to be outside and enjoy everything the city has to offer! The humidity and mosquitoes are gone and city is filled with crisp, cool air and changing leaves. This time of year many neighborhoods host a variety of events meant to bring the community together to enjoy the weather together!
Below you will find a list of several events taking place in different neighborhoods in the city! Hopefully from this list you can create a bucket list of activities to do this Fall!
Kidtober Fest
October 14th, 4:30pm-5:30pm
"Little Shop of Stories is partnering with Decatur High School's German Exchange Program to bring its annual Root Beer Festival to the square with an Oktoberfest twist! In addition to the great soda sampling, there will be bratwurst, Bavarian pretzels and other goodies for purchase, and music, games and lots of fun! All proceeds will benefit On The Same Page, Little Shop's community-wide reading initiative, and the DHS German Exchange Program. Tickets for this event will go on sale at Little Shop of Stories on September 30th. Wunderbar! "
Tickets are $10 per person or $30 per family. (Food is extra.) Soda provided by the wonderful folks at Rocket Fizz.
Little 5 Points Halloween Festival and Parade
Saturday, October 15th - Parade starts at 4:00pm
"The parade route starts at Austin and Euclid and moves up Euclid to Moreland. It will turn South on Moreland and proceed to the Wrecking Bar Brewpub where it will do a u-turn and then proceed to Freedom Parkway."
Festival On Ponce
October 15th & October 16th
"Fine arts and crafts, folk art, a children’s area, food trucks, and acoustic music in historic Olmsted Linear Park at N Ponce De Leon Ave NE."
Taste of Atlanta
October 21-23rd
"Now in its 15th year of serving up the city's best fare, Taste of Atlanta is bigger, bolder and better than ever! The unforgettable three-day food festival returns on October 21, 22 & 23. More than 90 neighborhood favorites will show off their most craveable dishes, the hottest local chefs will strut their stuff on four live demo stages, and VIP patrons will hit boozy nirvana sampling craft beers, wine and creative cocktails."

Atlanta Streets Alive!
October 23rd
"On Sunday, October 23rd, Atlanta Streets Alive takes over Peachtree Street from Edgewood to 17th Street! The event kicks off at 2:00 p.m. with a bicycle parade, and it continues until 6 p.m. Enjoy biking, skating, walking and rolling down the streets and take part in this fun, free, family-friendly event! "
Halloween Night on Callanwolde Mountain
October 28th 6:00pm-8:00pm
"Callanwolde is excited to announce Halloween Night on Callanwolde Mountain. A night of family fun for both kids and adults. Join us with Legoland Discovery Center in celebrating this Halloween adventure with J&M Sound Design DJ. Callanwolde Concert Band with special guest Matthew Kaminski,organist for the Atlanta Braves, for a musical program featuring selections from Night on Bald Mountain, Fright Night, Music for a Darkened Theatre (the music of Danny Elfman) and Ritual Fire Dance. There will be trick or treating throughout the estate and a family friendly costume contest with big prizes! There will be a special guest too!"

Decatur Halloween Parade
October 30th 4:00pm Downtown Decatur
Watch floats, decorated hearses, classic cars, and marching bands in the Haints and Saints Halloween Parade, followed by a musical jam in Decatur. Free!
Cabbagetown Chomp and Stomp Festival
November 5th
Chomp & Stomp has a chili cook-off (tasting at 12:30 p.m.), food vendors, old-time music, and a 5K run at Cabbagetown Park. Come early to sample. No dogs.
Decatur Wine Festival
November 5th
Taste wines, vote for your favorites, and enjoy live music & restaurant food at Decatur Wine Festival.
