According to Yahoo! Finance, for the 3rd year in a row, ATLANTA was the most popular place in the United States to move to last year. Experts attribute our warm weather, appreciation for diversity, maturing cultural ideals (especially when it comes to food), & modest median home prices as the major factor for kicking every one else’s rear end three years running. I think it’s just ’cause we’re awesome. Regardless, if you couple this great news with the understanding that the United States is going through an extended period of Urban Revival, you can really begin to get excited about the investment potential of the intown Atlanta Real Estate Market. If you’re thinking about buying a house in Atlanta…DO IT! Tell all your friends!
A quick thank you to all who came out to Eddie’s Attic on the 21st to see Nathan Angelo, Ryan Horne, Micah Dalton, and Yours Truly. We had an absolute blast sharing in the Christmas season and making music with you guys. If you didn’t get a chance to make it out this year keep your ears open & hopefully we’ll have another show with some new surprises next year…Happy New Year!

Eddies Attic is one of Atlanta’s truest gems when it comes to live music venues. From the heart of the Decatur Square, Eddie has helped launch the careers of artist like John Mayer, the Indigo Girls, Shawn Mullins, and Sugarland to name a few over the past 20 years. And at this time of year there is nothing better than spending a night at Eddie’s with some of your favorite songwriters (did I mention Santa will be there) right? This Wednesday is the annual Christmas Show at Eddies with Nathan Angelo, Ryan Horne, Micah Dalton, & yours truly (who doesn’t love a singing REALTOR?) . Guaranteed to be a good time and a fantastic way to start the season. There are two shows…early at 730 & late at 10. Merry Christmas!

SO a very important part of choosing the right intown neighborhood to live in is what kind of eats and drinks are in the proximity of that new home you’ve been eying! Each Intown Neighborhood boasts it’s own flavor, culture, and collection of award winning culinary experiences. If you can afford the price tag that comes along with an Inman Park address one of the major perks is having what I think is one of Atlanta’s best restaurants in your backyard!
Wisteria is the prized possession of chef/owner Jason Hill who has been a part of Atlanta’s fine dining family since he started cooking at the infamous Pano and Paul’s (R.I.P) at age 17. Situated in a century old building on Highland Ave, Wisteria boasts Contemporary American Dining with a soulful southern twist. Some of the local favorites include Molasses Rubbed Pork Tenderloin (my personal favorite & I don;t even like pork that much!) and the All Natural Iron Skillet Fried Chicken. On the side the Braised Greens Mac and Cheese is a MUST. Wisteria also flaunts a beautiful wine selection and a bar that feels more like the neighborhood pub where “everybody know your name.”
Scoutmob hopped on the Wisteria bandwagon about a month ago and offered a 50% off coupon….if you got it USE IT NOW. If you didn’t go cry yourself to sleep, then when you wake up call and make a reservation…you won’t regret it.

Hey Atlanta….my name is Jonathan Rich and I am an Intown Real Estate Specialist. I’ve been living in, studying, dreaming, and working in the brilliant and beautiful neighborhoods of Atlanta’s Intown Scope for 6 years. Currently I live in East Lake where I can walk out my front door and stroll to the Decatur Square, Oakhurst Village, and the Fed-Ex Championship at East Lake Golf Course all in less than a mile. It’s a good time.
This blog is about all things Intown. You’ll be able to find out about some of IT-ATL’s best real estate deals, secret foreclosures, & coming renovations that are not yet on the market. I’ll write about the beauty, culture, and history of IT-ATL’s incredibly unique neighborhoods. And you can also find out about the things we’re doing to help solve the world wide water problem. Thanks for reading, tell all your friends, and let’s hang out sometime soon!
